Connor Little
ARCHITECTURAL DESIGNER
Connor recently acquired a five-year Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture from Tulane University. Originally from Ruston, Louisiana, his work experience since living in New Orleans has ranged from collaborating on publications for the Tulane School of Architecture and serving as a teaching assistant for design studios to helping document existing buildings for projects at Studio Kiro. Deeply passionate about sustainable urban models and the global energy transition, his thesis project proposed a redevelopment model for malls in suburban contexts that re-envisioned the sites as solar energy power-houses, positioning solar potential as the catalyst for a land-use transition in disaster-prone communities with little autonomy over their energy services.
In 2021, Connor spent a semester abroad in Copenhagen, where he took an interior architecture studio, a water color painting class, and a sustainable design course. This experience prompted him to think of design from the human scale, exposing him to the importance of color, texture, light, sound, and atmosphere in the spaces we inhabit. Since beginning work with Studio Kiro, Connor has had the opportunity to explore the importance of an inside-out approach to architectural design, and he’s excited to continue to work with clients to envision spaces that are maximized, usable, safe, and enjoyable. In his free time, Connor enjoys spending time with friends, caring for his many houseplants, playing games, and spending time outdoors when the weather is nice.
